Darrah lives in downtown Dallas and has worked at SMU for over twenty-three years. She recently completed her MBA at SMU and is thinking about what her next learning opportunity is going to be. Darrah loves animals and has had dogs of her own most of her life. When her last dog passed away, she decided to take a break from dog ownership but missed spending time with furry friends. Dog sitting was the perfect fit and Darrah loves getting to meet client dogs and giving them lots of love and care and attention while their parents are away! In her free time Darrah enjoys reading, going to the movies (Alamo Drafthouse is her favorite), and taking regular walks at White Rock Lake.

A hill country girl at heart, Denise never fathomed living in Dallas, but for more than a decade calls it home. Adapting to city life quickly, she and her beloved dog Aussie found parks, lakes, and quiet neighborhoods ideal for a quick swim or long walk. Denise believes dogs leave footprints in your heart while bringing you boundless joy and love. There is nothing more special than being greeted by a smiling, tail wagging four legged loved one. When not walking dogs, Denise spends her spare time riding the city or hill country roads on a recumbent bike.

Mike was drawn to animals from a young age, “rescuing” all sorts of creatures like birds and hedgehogs while living in Germany, to scorpions, horny toads, and lizards in El Paso. Of course, his favorite animals are dogs, and he is thrilled whenever he can help a lost pup get back home safely to its owner. He grew up with cute and ferocious little dachshunds from a young age and discovered the joy of poodles after graduating college. He currently adores his little miniature labradoodle. Mike also seeks opportunities to be outdoors, hiking, biking, and camping with his kids and the scouts. Dog walking gives him the perfect opportunity to get outdoors with his favorite animals and get away from work and computer screens.

While Joey grew up in Dallas, she has maintained her strong connection to her Mexican roots. She has always had a fascination with animals and especially dogs. She spent four years working at a local dog daycare while going to college for art and design. She has combined her passion for art and dogs and began painting watercolor pet portraits for several of the daycare clients. She stepped down from her Kennel Assistant position to focus on starting her small business but really missed working with dogs. Working with the Privileged Paws Team allows her to fulfill both passions.
